Everything You Need to Know About Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Last month Google announced that, come July 1st 2023 Universal Analytics (UA) will be officially sunsetted. UA properties will stop processing hits from July 1, 2023 for standard users, and October 1, 2023 for GA360 users. Following those dates, historic data will only be stored for 6 months. While this announcement has certainly sent ripples across the marketing landscape it’s not the end of the world for data reporting. In fact, this change is essential to ensure web analytics continues to be effective and compliant with privacy laws.
